Bullseye Party Rental Rebrand

Bullseye Party Rental, based out of Queensbury reached out to us to revamp their existing logo. The current logo, a cool, laid back bull with shades has served the local company well. Owner Eric Seelye said it was time to retire the old guy. After meeting with him, we wanted to update the brand and keep the party vibe alive, while still maintaining what the core of the company does with tents, chairs, linens, etc. The tent struck us as a great image to go from and we illustrated it and using some gradation to give it some dimension. Getting the brand into a color scheme was also needed for Bullseye, and we went with good ‘ol red and blue. We also made sure the logo would work as a 1-color option if the company decides to use any basic applications with it. Bullseye’s new website is also in the works with us, we will keep you posted on that as well. In the meantime, catch Bullseye Party Rentals on their current site at www.bullseyeparty.com and get in touch with Eric about your next big party!

Fund for Lake George’s 2010 Annual Report

The Fund for Lake George had many accomplishments in 2010. West Brook Conservation Initiative made real headway, they published the award winning Do-It-Yourself Water Quality publication and the even the Lake George Waterkeeper is now in its tenth year. 2010 was a banner year for growth for the almost 40 year old lake organization. The Fund came to us looking for a new solution to their annual report look and direction. We titled the annual report Moving Lake George Forward, in thinking of the excellent year they had and with their growth. Learn more about what the Fund has accomplished in 2010 along with find out more about the donors and the people that help make the Fund for Lake George such a successful organization. Get in touch with the Fund via email at info@fundforlakegeorge.org or give them a call at 518.668-9700 and get a copy of the annual report.

Rawhead’s Psychopomp 12″LP

Local record label Sub-Bombin Records newest release, Rawhead’s Psychopomp, is an “aural eardrum experience” as Brooklyn-based music critic Adam Winters put it. This was the local labels first 12″ record release in their 6-year history. When they were looking for an out-of-the-box approach to the jacket design, they came to us. We shot all the photos for the jacket for Sub-Bombin. Rawhead’s childhood iron chime gave us the inspiration for the look, as well as it being used in a couple of tracks on the album itself. Psychopomp itself means: creatures, spirits, angels, or deities in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly deceased souls to the afterlife. Their role is not to judge the deceased, but simply provide safe passage, which also gave us some ideas. Color played a crucial factor in the design of the jacket, the cool green fits the ambiance and mood of the beats that Rawhead lays to wax. If you haven’t explored Rawhead’s releases, you can check them here. You also can purchase the Psychopomp 12″ here, it comes with a free download
