We are happy to announce that we have launched the new website for the Wood Theater in Glens Falls. The theater serves the greater Glens Falls area by acting as a performance space for plays, concerts and events located in the heart of Hometown U.S.A. When the Wood approached us about having us help them with their new website, the goal was to raise ticket sales and make customers have an easier time finding out what events are happening at the theater. We made the homepage feature a section with upcoming events that lead right into buying the tickets. The other task was to streamline the user experience visually make thing much easier to digest on the site. We welcome you to visit the site and check it out here. Congratulations to them on their new site and wish them the best of luck with their ticket sales in the upcoming year, cheers!
Bullseye Party Rental Rebrand

Bullseye Party Rental, based out of Queensbury reached out to us to revamp their existing logo. The current logo, a cool, laid back bull with shades has served the local company well. Owner Eric Seelye said it was time to retire the old guy. After meeting with him, we wanted to update the brand and keep the party vibe alive, while still maintaining what the core of the company does with tents, chairs, linens, etc. The tent struck us as a great image to go from and we illustrated it and using some gradation to give it some dimension. Getting the brand into a color scheme was also needed for Bullseye, and we went with good ‘ol red and blue. We also made sure the logo would work as a 1-color option if the company decides to use any basic applications with it. Bullseye’s new website is also in the works with us, we will keep you posted on that as well. In the meantime, catch Bullseye Party Rentals on their current site at www.bullseyeparty.com and get in touch with Eric about your next big party!

Rawhead’s Psychopomp 12″LP

Local record label Sub-Bombin Records newest release, Rawhead’s Psychopomp, is an “aural eardrum experience” as Brooklyn-based music critic Adam Winters put it. This was the local labels first 12″ record release in their 6-year history. When they were looking for an out-of-the-box approach to the jacket design, they came to us. We shot all the photos for the jacket for Sub-Bombin. Rawhead’s childhood iron chime gave us the inspiration for the look, as well as it being used in a couple of tracks on the album itself. Psychopomp itself means: creatures, spirits, angels, or deities in many religions whose responsibility is to escort newly deceased souls to the afterlife. Their role is not to judge the deceased, but simply provide safe passage, which also gave us some ideas. Color played a crucial factor in the design of the jacket, the cool green fits the ambiance and mood of the beats that Rawhead lays to wax. If you haven’t explored Rawhead’s releases, you can check them here. You also can purchase the Psychopomp 12″ here, it comes with a free download

Adirondack Resorts Press, which was the premier Lake George brochures, guides, maps and post cards from the 1920s through the early 1970s. They were printers, yet designers as well. When publisher of the Lake George Mirror, Anthony F. Hall introduced us to a cache of images of the paper, printer and images past. We utilized original design for businesses of the time from old publication ads that were run in the Lake George Mirror (which we are happily a part of for 12 years now). When Adirondack Resorts Press and the Lake George Mirror was purchased in 1997, a vault was inherited of advertising images and designs, which forms the basis of Adirondack Resorts Press’s new line of authentic, retro merchandise. We utilized original artwork from brochures and newspapers to comprised of an 8-shirt 2011 line and Happy Jack’s owner Jeff Strief was instrumental in forming the base shirt line with his retail expertise and eye for the sale. Each shirt comes with a tag with an inspired brochure of the day (posted above). The shirts can be purchased at Happy Jack’s in Bolton Landing or online at AdirondackResortsPress.com
